Practical notes

Work out the cost and length of your stay

Compare your quotes, add a possible extension and keep a printable accommodation plan.

Use a quote for the actual apartment

Enter a VAT-inclusive nightly price for the apartment and dates being offered. A building’s lowest starting rate may refer to another bedroom size. The planner performs arithmetic; it does not check availability or produce a residence’s offer.

Another week or an earlier departure

The extension example uses the same nightly price. Ask whether that price continues and whether you can remain in the same apartment. Leaving early does not automatically release you from paying for reserved nights. The planner shows used nights and the original commitment separately.

VAT on longer stays

HMRC has a reduced-value rule for qualifying continuous stays of more than 28 days in hotels and similar establishments. It applies from day 29 and does not apply to every kind of accommodation. This calculator makes no automatic VAT deduction; use the provider’s confirmed total.

Planning around appointments

Use dates your care team has given you and allow the arrival and departure time you need. Do not derive a stay from a generic treatment pattern. You can record extra nights as a separate scenario without providing appointment or medical details.
