Confirm the hospital site first
A hospital group can use several buildings across London. Obtain the admission or appointment address from the hospital’s international team. The accommodation team needs that destination and your stay requirements, not clinical records.
Who will stay in the apartment?
Count accompanying adults, children and any carer who needs a separate bed. Ask for the actual bed arrangement, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. A sofa bed may occupy the living room, while a twin bedroom can let companions share without sharing a bed.
Invoices and sponsored bookings
Before accepting a quote, obtain the insurer or sponsor’s invoice requirements and any approval reference. Confirm who pays the residence, the billing name and the currency. An accommodation invoice does not establish that an embassy or insurer will reimburse it.
Visa and travel documents
GOV.UK distinguishes a standard medical visit from a longer private-treatment visit. The documents and permission required depend on the traveller’s circumstances. Use the official medical-visit guidance and visa checker for each person travelling. An apartment reservation does not give permission to enter or extend a stay.
Language and hospital support
Arrange clinical interpreting through the hospital. Its international office can explain appointments, admission requirements and clinical payment arrangements. Keep accommodation questions with the residence or booking team.
Food, faith and everyday arrangements
The local map includes named shops and places of worship from OpenStreetMap. Contact a venue about dietary provision, prayer facilities or opening hours. Hospital chaplaincy teams may also be able to explain facilities within the hospital.
Changing the booking
Ask for extension prices and early-departure terms before paying. A longer stay can require a move if the original apartment has another reservation. The planner helps set out the initial nights and possible extras.
