Royal Brompton or Evelina London?
Royal Brompton is the heart and lung hospital on Sydney Street in Chelsea. It belongs to Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, but it is a separate site from the hospitals at Westminster Bridge and London Bridge.
A change affecting children’s admissions
Royal Brompton confirms that children’s heart and lung inpatient services moved to Evelina London in May 2026. Paediatric outpatient departments remain at Royal Brompton’s Fulham Wing and Harefield. The admission letter identifies the site for an inpatient stay.
Sydney Street and Fulham Wing
The main hospital address is Sydney Street, SW3 6NP. Some outpatient appointments use Fulham Wing on Fulham Road. The two approaches are on different streets.
Getting there without station stairs
South Kensington is the Tube station in Royal Brompton’s directions. It has stairs, so a journey without station stairs needs another arrival route.
Parking and collection
Public parking at the hospital is very limited. The hospital’s heart-surgery guide describes a possible fifteen-minute stop at the main entrance for admission or collection, arranged with the parking attendant. That is a department-specific arrangement, not permission to park for an appointment; arrange collection with the ward.
